A New Year!

I love January! For me, this month rejuvenates my outlook on life. The cold, brisk air and bright sunshine puts a spring in my step and a levity to my life. I enjoy spending time thinking about what I want to accomplish in the months to come, talking with Seth about our goals as a family, and imagining all of the opportunities and possibilities that a new year will bring.

Last night, I decided to embark on this new endeavor of blogging. I want to create a place for our family and friends to read about our weeks and see pictures of our growing family. By reading our blog, I hope to give to you snapshots and insights into our lives as one way of keeping connected across the miles.

Sammy's First Swim

I love to swim! I love to float, swim laps, and even jump off the diving board. Every year for my birthday growing up, I invited my friends over for a pool party for my birthday, even though we shivered in the water because it was still fairly cold. Many of my summer childhood memories come from playing Marco Polo, categories, and other water games. I have always looked forward to swimming with my children, so we went together as soon as Sammy could fit into his swim trunks.
